Dear Tom and Ray:My friend and co-worker has a 1976 Volvo 262 with 189,000 miles on it. The car seems to have chronic ailments (front end, transmission, distributor, etc.) which are always big dollar items. To add insult to injury, once a mechanic works on it, he doesn't want it back again. We have been through almost every repair shop in the area. What do you suggest?
