This week on Car Talk, we heard from Monica, an artist in Mobile, Alabama. Her problem is with a '95 Jeep Cherokee Sport... which runs just fine.

With one exception.

It's not doing so well at helping her find the man of her dreams. Who, by the way, should like to travel, and be game to start a family — so Monica can finally justify a Volvo station wagon.

There is one other thing: he should be rich. Unlike the other guys the Cherokee have lured in so far — all of whom seem to be, well, the run-of-the-mill starving-artist-types.

She was thinking of something like a nice, little Audi TT. Or maybe a Mini. (Convertible, naturally.) We suggested... a personal ad.
